Book News: Future of the Saga and More [from Barb]
Hi Gang. Although we’ve been a bit quiet these past weeks, there has been a good deal going on. Time to share a few things.
First (and most exciting)… J.C. and I have signed a contract for three more books: the final two books in the Noble Dead Saga and the first book of a new yet-to-be-named series.
Yes, you read that right. After The Wind in the Night is released this coming January, we will complete the saga in two more books: First and Last Sorcerer and The Night Voice [working titles]. We promise both will be heart-stopping and reveal long-awaited secrets. At present, we cannot talk about the upcoming new series, but stay tuned for more news down the road. We are very excited about the schedule and the upcoming books.
Second… I received some welcome news from my editor: The Mist-Torn Witches has gone into a second printing! I was doing a happy dance around the house. Witches in Red comes out next May, and I will soon have more news to share about the future of that series.
Finally, I wanted to say how glad I was that JC put The Forgotten Mistress up for sale this week and with such a lovely cover. The Forgotten Lord received more fan mail than any other Tale I have written, but everyone was unhappy with the ending. Hah! Fear not. The ending of this new Tale is quite different. That’s the scoop!

General Update: The Saga and the Tales…
Just a brief note about where we are, what we are doing, and what is to come (that we can foresee at the moment). We received print “proofs” for S3B3: A Wind in the Night (Jan. 2014) and are working our way through this coming novel for the last time. Any corrections from us must be returned to the publisher soon, so this work will fill the rest of this week.
In September will come another entry in T·N·D·S: Tales from the world of the Noble Dead Saga. It will be released mid-month, as J.C. needs time between online / offline management duties and his own writing to compile the ebook and a new cover.
MB2: The Forgotten Mistress, by Barb, is the sequel to MB1: The Forgotten Lord in the “Tales of Misbelief” collection. Keep an eye out for the release announcement coming next month. And of course there is even more to come as we figure out our ever-shifting schedule of other things to fit around our work on the Noble Dead Saga. Thanks for stopping by!
Tales Update, and What’s to Come
We have not done a general update since before the first of the year for “Tales from the world of the Noble Dead Saga.” There are a few changes to come, though they will not affect our current readers.
One thing noticed is that though these privately published short stories and novellas are doing fairly well, their readership is pretty limited to fans of the Noble Dead Saga. We would like to see Tales reach a slightly broader audience. We do our best to make them accessible to anyone, including those who have never read any volume of the saga. And so, some changes will be made to Tales “packaging” where coming works are concerned…
NOW AVAILABLE — Tales of Misbelief, I: The Forgotten Lord
Time for our first 2013 entry in Tales from the world of the Noble Dead Saga. We did a little behind the scenes reorganization of the “tales” project. Barb’s latest tale is now the opener for the new sequence called “Tales of Misbelief.” So without further ado…

You Do NOT Need an eReader
Free Apps to purchase ebooks directly from your computer or other devices are available for Windows, OS X, Android, iOS and sometimes Linux. Yes, you can buy your first ebook as a test right from your computer. There are even free ebooks so you do not have to spend a dime to test what ebooks are all about.
NOTE: If you purchase an ebook on your computer from a specific vendor and then later buy a portable ereader device from that vendor, all of your previously purchased books will automatically load to your new ereader.
Better yet, if you buy an Android or iOS device (such as a full or small sized tablet) and then load the vendor’s app to that device… once again all of your purchases will load to that device. You can even load apps from all of the vendors and shop wherever you want. That’s what J.C. does, though he has a few additional tricks for pulling any vendor’s books into his own preferred reader app called Mantano. He also speaks highly of Aldiko. Both have a free version to try out.
